Charlotte Street Cottage
When coming to Charleston, SC, why stay in a bed and breakfast, historic inn or hotel when you can rent your own historic vacation rental home for the same price? This elegant and superbly refurbished historic guest home in an exclusive neighborhood of historic downtown Charleston is available by day, week or month. Like a Charleston inn or historic bed and breakfast but more private, the 200 year old two bedroom guest home is on an acre in a quiet, but centrally located residential street in the historic district of downtown Charleston, SC. The Charlotte Street Cottage makes for the perfect vacation rental accommodations for your visit to South Carolina.
Secluded and romantic, Charlotte Street Cottage, is the original kitchen house built in 1820. The Cottage is a beautifully restored 2 bedroom guesthouse offering the perfect combination of privacy, quiet luxury, and easy access to our beautiful Historic city. Rise with the sun and go for a jog along the battery or relax on your sunny patio with a hot cup of coffee and fresh fruit and enjoy the flowers in the gardens. Hop on your bike and be instantly surrounded by the history and charm of the antebellum neighborhood.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a new top of the line queen bed, the other with new twin beds. There is a full bath, generous closet space, and a washer and dryer. Both bedrooms look out over the gardens.
Downstairs features include a kitchen with the original fireplace, breakfast nook, living room and half bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove and oven, full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, and all the cookware and utensils you could want. The dining/living area is stylish yet comfortably furnished. Next to the cottage, out the kitchen entrance, is your own private garden and patio, fringed by flower beds and with comfortable patio furniture.
Amenities include cable television, telephone service, fax service, and high speed internet access, wireless or ethernet. There is two zone central heat and air for year round comfort. Bicycles, a great way to get around our historic city, are provided.
From your home base on Charlotte Street, you are an easy walk to Gailliard Auditorium and most of the other Spoleto Festival venues, the visitors center, the old market, the new Library and Aquarium, the Aiken-Rhett House and Charleston Museums, many excellent restaurants, and, of course, the fine historic homes surrounding it, many of which are open to the public for the annual house and garden tours.
